Hey, I’m Julian, an Art Director based in Sydney. I think in visuals, obsess over ideas, and believe the best creative work is both smart and a little unexpected.
My background spans design, filmmaking, and advertising, which means I’m just as comfortable crafting the big idea as I am finessing the details. Over the years, I’ve worked on everything from globally recognized campaigns to the kind of scrappy, problem-solving projects that require duct tape and ingenuity. (Both have their charm.)
Creativity has always been my way of making sense of the world. Maybe that’s because I grew up surrounded by scientists, constantly asking “why?”—a habit that’s followed me into my work. Whether I’m directing a photoshoot, designing a brand identity, or writing my newsletter, JB’s Friday 5, I bring the same curiosity and energy to the table.
As someone with ADHD, I see my neurodivergence as a creative strength. It gives me the ability to think laterally, spot patterns others might miss, and hyperfocus when it counts. That mix of energy, curiosity and divergent thinking has shaped the way I approach ideas, and it's a big part of why I love what I do.
Beyond work, I’m into fitness, coffee, and anything animated. I also sneeze when I step into bright light (it’s a real thing, look it up).
If you want to collaborate, chat, or just argue about whether cereal is a soup, let’s talk. First coffee’s on me.
